Résumé
This report describes a review mission which took place in June 2003. The report examines 12 issues of importance to Azerbaijan, with material divided into three sections on the framework for environmental policy, management of pollution and natural resources, and economic and sectoral integration. Among the issues receiving special attention are the policy, legal, and institutional framework of environmental performance, public participation in decision making, water resources, waste and contaminated sites, and environmental concerns about the Caspian Sea.
