Résumé
Although the relationship between Marx and Weber has been the topic of considerable debate and research (Antonio and Glassman, 1985), we need to distinguish carefully between three somewhat separate issues: Weber's relationship to the social theories of Marx, his relation to Marxism as an intellectual tradition and his relation to communism as a revolutionary movement.
