Foreign Policy in the European Union

This is a study of the history, theory, and practice of foreign policy making within the European Union. It distinguishes between the desire of the biggest and strongest European countries to retain control over foreign policy and the greater willingness of the smaller EU countries to agree on a community wide foreign policy. There is comprehensive coverage of all fifteen member states with a unifying comparative perspective and offers detailed case studies to illustrate the Common Foreign and Security Policy of the EU in practice.
